When one of our best clients asked us to schedule their annual meeting in Chicago, how could we say no? Chicago has always been a favorite city. All the excitement of a big city, the amazing restaurants, the awesome attractions, and of course, the night life!
This client had been hosting their sales force every year in St. Louis, but logistically with their international guests flying in, Chicago made a bit more sense this time around. RSVP visited many Chicago hotels and narrowed it down to the one that was the best fit for them. We used the W Lake Shore Drive which was an absolutely perfect choice. We negotiated on our clients behalf and were able to get them a great rate with fabulous concessions.
The theme for their conference was “Taking It To The Top”, complete with a graphic of the skyline of Chicago. They took this meeting not only TO the top, they took it OVER the top. Of course, they spent long days in meetings learning about new products, listening to speakers, lessons on compliance procedures, and much more, but every night we tapped into a little Chicago fun.
Monday night we “Took It To The Top”, the Signature Room on the 95th floor of the Hancock Building. The million dollar views from that location are tough to beat. A beautiful dinner with some great speeches. Tuesday night, the famous Gino’s East for pizza. Wednesday night, Riva on Navy Pier for dinner and fireworks. Thursday night the group split up and headed to local pubs and restaurants for their final night.
We worked closely with the staff at the W to be sure this client got everything they contracted and more. We were behind the scenes every day making sure food and beverage, A/V, logistics, etc. were all on point allowing our client to focus on the meeting and their agenda. Lots of changes and revisions to the agenda meant for a bit of chaos behind the scenes, but that’s what we are there for. We work hard in the background while our clients are able to focus on their agenda and the tasks at hand.
