Without further delay, in no particular order, here are the Top Five finalists and their stories. We just love Engagement Season!
Elizabeth Gibson
Elizabeth’s Engagement Story – My fiancé Ryan, his family and I took an eleven hour road trip to Pittsburgh to visit his brother and sister in-law in the hospital. The both of them are in critical condition battling Cystic Fibrosis and the day before we left, we all wanted a family picture in Dalton’s room gathered along his bedside. Ryan handed his phone to the nurse as I sat down for the picture. He then turned around, got down on one knee, and proposed in front of his whole family and dearest sick brother and sister in-law, making it something we’ll never forget.
Daniel Ginsburg
Daniel’s Engagement Story – 30th bday’s in Mexico. She’s expecting proposal and it didn’t happen. A few weeks later, she goes home because she is upset and to see her best friend. Her best friend says “let’s get a drink at the Ritz,” (common practice, not an odd thing to do). My wife agrees. They pull up to valet the car; she has no clue I am even in town. I am dressed as the valet guy…coat, name tag, hat and outfit. I take her to the beautiful fountain right nearby and propose. We go into the Ritz, and both families and best friends are in there to all celebrate and go out to dinner.
Judy Strauser
Judy’s Engagement Story – It was both of our second time at love and marriage, one neither of us planned on. Brad had asked all 4 of my son’s privately for their blessing, and told them his plans. He had plans for us to go to the beach and had it all planned out with torches flowers and a sand heart. I got really sick and unable to go anywhere. He planned the same scenario at his house. When I came out of bathroom from getting sick, he was on knees with ring everything was beautiful. It wasn’t on the beach, just as romantic, beautiful, and special.
Heather Sexton
Heather’s Engagement Story – After being together for about 1 ½ years Caleb and I decided to take a trip Curacao. For the last night of the trip we planned something special. We reserved a four course dinner at Zanzibar on a lounge bed on the beach during sunset. It was beautiful, and what I thought would be the perfect ending to a perfect trip. But it certainly got better! When I came back from the restroom Caleb knelt down to “take my shoes off,” and pulled out a ring. Our first vacation together was certainly more wonderful that I could have imagined!
Stay tuned! The winners will be announced next Tuesday. Check them out here and stop by our Facebook page.
